FSH (Menopause Test)

Menopause is defined as the absence of menstrual periods for 12 months. It is the time in a woman’s life when the function of the ovaries ceases.

The process of menopause does not occur overnight, but rather is a gradual process. This premenopausal transition period is a different experience for each woman.

The average age of menopause is 51 years old, but menopause may occur as early as the 30s or as late as the 60s. There is no reliable lab test to predict when a woman will experience menopause. It’s important to emphasize that the age at which a woman starts having menstrual periods is not related to the age of menopause onset. In the period leading up to menopause (perimenopause), a woman might experience these signs and symptoms:

Complications that women may develop after the onset of menopause include osteoporosis and heart disease. Treatments for menopause are customized for each woman. Treatments recommended are directed toward alleviating uncomfortable or distressing symptoms.

AEI24 LABTEST has available to supply OEM for private label an advanced FSH (Menopause Test) in the following presentation: FSH Strip, Cassette and Midstream for Self-Testing, Annex IV, IVD European Directive 98/79

The procedure is fast and easy to interpret. Elevated levels of FSH indicate that a woman has most likely entered menopause. Menopausal women should be aware of, and take preventative measures against Osteoporosis and other diseases associated with aging. If the test band appears and is darker than the control band, then the concentration of FSH in the sample is greater than 25mIU/ml. If the test band does not appear or is lighter than the control band, then FSH concentration is below 25mIU/ml.
